Elle cherchait plut\u00f4t \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre un probl\u00e8me qu\u2019elle rencontrait r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement dans son travail de formatrice en entrepreneuriat et en agriculture : des femmes agricultrices produisant des herbes et des c\u00e9r\u00e9ales sans d\u00e9bouch\u00e9s fiables, alors m\u00eame que le march\u00e9 \u00e9tait inond\u00e9 de produits import\u00e9s que l\u2019agriculture locale pouvait facilement fournir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jelmah Herbella est n\u00e9e de cette r\u00e9flexion. L\u2019entreprise transforme des herbes et des c\u00e9r\u00e9ales cultiv\u00e9es localement en th\u00e9s, miel, assaisonnements naturels et aliments pour b\u00e9b\u00e9s \u2014 des produits aux recettes ancr\u00e9es dans la culture gambienne et con\u00e7us avec une intention nutritionnelle. Mais l\u2019activit\u00e9 de transformation n\u2019est qu\u2019une partie de l\u2019histoire. En amont, une plateforme regroupe des femmes agricultrices, les encourage \u00e0 cultiver des herbes selon des pratiques de permaculture \u2014 dans des arri\u00e8re-cours, des pneus, des sacs ou m\u00eame des r\u00e9cipients recycl\u00e9s \u2014 et leur garantit un d\u00e9bouch\u00e9 commercial.
