Elle avait enregistr\u00e9 le nom de son entreprise \u00e0 19 ans. Entre ces deux moments, Lucy Chioma Aniagolu avait construit une conviction simple mais tenace : le principal frein \u00e0 l\u2019agribusiness en Afrique n\u2019est ni la terre, ni le capital, ni le climat \u2014 mais la connaissance, et surtout la mani\u00e8re in\u00e9gale dont elle est distribu\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Agrodemy Technologies est n\u00e9e de cette id\u00e9e. Construite autour de cours en ligne, de mise en relation avec des consultants et de formations pratiques, l\u2019entreprise se situe \u00e0 l\u2019intersection de l\u2019edtech et de l\u2019agribusiness, dans un espace encore peu valoris\u00e9. Au moment o\u00f9 Lucy remporte le prix Rising Star WAYA en 2023, Agrodemy proposait 12 cours, une marketplace avec plus de 50 produits issus de ses apprenants, et une \u00e9quipe de quatre personnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019utilisation des fonds a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chie. Moins de 25 % du montant avait \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9pens\u00e9 au moment du reporting, Lucy ayant choisi de ne pas investir sans strat\u00e9gie claire. Les investissements r\u00e9alis\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cibl\u00e9s : acquisition de 12 parcelles de terrain \u00e0 Abeokuta, recrutement d\u2019un partenaire technologique pour am\u00e9liorer la plateforme, int\u00e9gration de deux nouvelles collaboratrices et recrutement de cinq chercheurs stagiaires, permettant le lancement de 20 nouveaux cours sur la transformation des produits agricoles. Lucy, guid\u00e9e par ses mentors du programme FAO, a choisi de ralentir pour repenser son mod\u00e8le. Cette r\u00e9flexion a conduit \u00e0 un pivot strat\u00e9gique : abandonner les cours payants comme principale source de revenus au profit de formations courtes gratuites pour attirer les utilisateurs, puis g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des revenus via des formations pratiques et du conseil. La marketplace a \u00e9t\u00e9 mise de c\u00f4t\u00e9, au profit d\u2019un mod\u00e8le bas\u00e9 sur un r\u00e9seau de partenaires agribusiness fonctionnant en partage de revenus.\nCe repositionnement strat\u00e9gique, bien que difficile, a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 prendre des d\u00e9cisions r\u00e9fl\u00e9chies plut\u00f4t que de rechercher une croissance rapide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C\u2019\u00e9tait le type de r\u00e9ajustement plus difficile \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser qu\u2019il n\u2019y para\u00eet, surtout lorsque l\u2019argent du prix est disponible sur un compte et que l\u2019attente d\u2019une croissance visible est bien r\u00e9elle.
