Para um neg\u00f3cio que tinha quatro colaboradores antes de vencer o pr\u00e9mio WAYA, os resultados alcan\u00e7ados em seis meses pela Rising SheFarms Food contam uma hist\u00f3ria t\u00e3o impressionante quanto inesperada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lydia Madintin Konlan construiu a sua empresa em Tamale, na Regi\u00e3o Norte do Gana, em torno de uma cultura ainda pouco comum nas comunidades onde atua. Os cogumelos n\u00e3o fazem parte da tradi\u00e7\u00e3o agr\u00edcola local, o que significava que cada explora\u00e7\u00e3o criada exigia tamb\u00e9m um trabalho de sensibiliza\u00e7\u00e3o \u2014 junto de mulheres, fam\u00edlias e l\u00edderes comunit\u00e1rios, que precisavam de ver resultados econ\u00f3micos antes de acreditarem. Foram contratadas duas jovens mulheres \u2014 uma gestora de projeto e uma assistente administrativa \u2014 para apoiar a gest\u00e3o de uma rede em r\u00e1pido crescimento. Seguiu-se a aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de ferramentas e equipamento de compostagem. Foi um investimento discreto, mas estrutural, essencial para sustentar a expans\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uma das inova\u00e7\u00f5es mais marcantes foi a transforma\u00e7\u00e3o de 10 toneladas de res\u00edduos agr\u00edcolas em 10.000 sacos de composto. Trata-se de uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o de economia circular que reduz custos de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, diminui a depend\u00eancia de insumos comerciais e transforma res\u00edduos num ativo da cadeia de valor. Em conjunto com uma parceria com a Association of Nubian Vaults para desenvolver estruturas de cultivo sustent\u00e1veis e com um sistema de rastreabilidade do produto, a empresa integrou pr\u00e1ticas clim\u00e1ticas inteligentes na sua opera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No plano financeiro, o pr\u00e9mio abriu novas oportunidades. Lydia obteve 12.000 USD de financiamento atrav\u00e9s do Global Accelerator Program do Accelerator Centre e da Universidade de Waterloo. As receitas com a venda de cogumelos frescos cresceram 10%, impulsionadas pela expans\u00e3o da rede de produtoras.
