O seu objetivo era resolver um problema que encontrava repetidamente no seu trabalho como formadora em empreendedorismo e agricultura: mulheres agricultoras a produzir ervas e cereais sem acesso a mercados fi\u00e1veis, enquanto o pa\u00eds dependia de produtos importados que poderiam ser produzidos localmente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Jelmah Herbella foi a sua resposta. A empresa transforma ervas e cereais cultivados localmente em ch\u00e1s, mel, condimentos e alimentos para beb\u00e9s \u2014 produtos com identidade gambiana e valor nutricional. No entanto, o processamento \u00e9 apenas parte do modelo. Por tr\u00e1s est\u00e1 uma plataforma que organiza mulheres agricultoras, promovendo o cultivo de ervas atrav\u00e9s de pr\u00e1ticas de permacultura \u2014 em quintais, pneus reutilizados, sacos e recipientes improvisados \u2014 e garantindo acesso ao mercado. O financiamento foi utilizado para um reposicionamento completo da marca \u2014 estrutura organizacional, identidade dos produtos, marketing, website e presen\u00e7a digital \u2014 al\u00e9m da aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de terrenos e maquinaria com padr\u00f5es internacionais.Segundo Fatou, o impacto do pr\u00e9mio foi al\u00e9m do capital: trouxe confian\u00e7a e visibilidade. Abriu portas a reconhecimento em toda a \u00c1frica e levou-a a espa\u00e7os de influ\u00eancia onde antes n\u00e3o estava presente.
